I just got my new Air Dog PF-100 (Dang this thing is heavy) and would like to know some of the locations othere people have instaled the low fuel press indicator light? Just looking for suggestions. Oo.

Top right side of instrument bezel, visible just above the steering wheel. When it comes on I cannot possibly miss it, even in bright sunlight.

Godspeed,
Trent

How long does it take for yours to light, mine has never come on in the 4+ years i have had my Airdog. I do change my filters every 2nd year(low mileage vehicle--at most maybe 12-15k on the filters),constant 16PSI and so far not even a hick-up or significant drop in PSI. DW

I did not install my light, just use a fuel pressure gauge. I ran 20,000 w/o a filter change and pressure was steady. I changed it just for piece of mind. Maybe go 25,000 on the next filter... :-laf

DWeiler,

I have a 110 gal aux tank in the bed. When I was drawing from it with the AirDog I would run it down and then pump the original tank up into the aux tank. Because the aux tank is so big there where times when I would go around a cloverleaf or stop suddenly and for an instant the fuel level would go below the bottom of the draw tube causing the light to come on. It comes on instantly at 7 psi.

jeepit,

The last time I changed the AirDog filter I knew it had been a while. When I got the filter off and looked at the miles I had written on it I realized there were 150,000 miles on that filter!!!! I buy all my fuel from a certain truck stop chain and this showed I have never gotten bad fuel from them.

BTW, I don't necessarily recommend going that long, but that is when I started noticing lower fuel psi.

Godspeed,
Trent

Last time i talked to Charlie at Pure Flow he said that his truck still had a 5 year old fuel filter on it---Change it when you see the pressure start to drop. i;I'll stick to my schedule for piece of mind. Thanks for the info/replies----PS*** FYI the "Fleetguard" numbers for the Airdog fuel Filters are FF5617-10micron,FF5613-3 micron,FF5587-7 micron. Hope this helps. DW
