Where is the best place to find a 2006-08 tailgate?

Well... . I guess it had to happen sometime!!! My better half had to drive me in My truck to the doctors office at night and when we left, she backed the truck into a tree in the parking lot. It munched the tailgate enough to have to replace it.
Do any of you guys know where I might be lucky enough to find a take off tail gate in INFERNO RED? I live in central coastal Calif and would drive to the bay area or L. A.
Any one know the best place to find one??? Even out of state? Thanks, Chris

You would have to check in each week cuz they come and go. Then there is craigslist: SF bay area classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events and ebay for those that have replaced with a 5th wheel style of tailgate.

Another option is utility bed companies that have take-off beds might sell you a tailgate.

Body shop can reskin it, probably cheaper that buying the whole tailgate if you could find one.

I went to a utility bed dealer. He had a bunch of takeoff beds and tailgates. I think I paid 350 or so for mine, but I had to have it painted. Was still cheaper than a new one. Maybe you'll get lucky and find one in Inferno Red, thats what mine is, but when you need one they are never around.

Thanks... What a neat way to find stuff. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one my color that didn't have damage.

Went to a high end body shop that was recommended to me and the "Repair" is bid at $2600. I am having the rear bumper replaced also as it got scraped up. They use Glasruit paints.
