Hi guys

Iam nick from the UK i have 2001 model 3500drw. A few months ago i followed a thread up about some mirrors, made by koolvue the towing ones which are heated and electric DG49ELR, i purchased my from fenderworld, after a long wait and lots of hassel, i got them back to the UK and £300 or $550 later:eek: whilst waiting to fit them the mirrors sat in my office, then the unfortuate happened one of the mirror lenses got broken, to say i was gutted was understatement. having spoken to fenderworld who werent very helpful i have drawn i blank, trying to get i mirror glass . Does anyone have any ideas. thanks Nick p

sorry about your misfortune, if you would have bought the Dodge non-heated, non-electric towing mirrors I would have sent you one as I have a spare (if it was the same side you needed, I didn't have much luck with my koolvues or cipa's (both the glasses got loose after a relatively short time) so I went to the Dodge mirrors, good luck and sorry I couldn't help

I maybe dumb about this but cannot the mirror glass be changed like any other side mirror glass? If so you can go to pretty much anyplace that changes auto glass and they can do the mirror glass. If I am wrong and very well could be sorry it is a thought check.

Thanks you guys,

i think that the mirror glass which has a plastic backing because it has the heat element and connectors is specific only to koolvue and is a special fitment ,having looked at mopar fitments of different years, with no succuss. because koolvue dont deal with the public direct, you have to be a dealer, you cant even send emails unless you have an account but to set up an account you have to be in the trade (lots of hassel). I think i just need to find a helpfull dealer of Koolvue to answer the question.

I was afraid this was TO EASY!!!

will contact Autoparts Warehouse see if they do the mirror glass on its own,

if not i think i will have to buy whole new mirror $165 + $100 to get it to the UK. thanks for all of yours help, Great website.
