Hard for me to really decide what is my favorite, but if I had to pick one, it would be what we call "Texas Country" I'm not talking about most of the stuff you hear on the country music stations these days. I'm talking about singer/songwriters that still use steel guitars and fiddles in their music. Along with a little folk style of music mixed in with it.

Short list of a few favorites:

Randy Rogers Band

Cory Morrow

Robert Earl Keen Jr.

Pat Green

Mickey and the Motorcars

Reckless Kelly

Cross Canadian Ragweed(OK, not really country, but they do rock)

What's yours?

I guess I'm kind of weird. I can switch from Metallica to Beethoven without an issue. Depending on the piece, they can have about the same amount of intensity. I do like some country, especially the old stuff that really told a good story, Rock, Sca, Heavy Metal, Big Band from the '40's, Speed & thrash metal, techno, trance, Baroque period classical, etc. .

I don't care for jazz or rap, or anything that could be played in an elevator without anyone raising an eyebrow and saying "wth?" I don't really care for much rock from the 70's either.

I listen to almost all music.

Lately:

Stuck Mojo

Johnny Rebel / David allan coe / Bill Connely / Sam Kinnison (yea, I know not really music)

Disturbed

Rob Zombie

Skynyrd

Audio slaveBlack flag

Mettallica

Rage against the machine

To name a few.

Sirius 27 pretty much..... :D

Bluegrass and acoustic (traditional) country are my favorites. I do not like music that cannot be played if there is a power failure... 90% of the "noise" out there today! I like string instruments: Banjo, fiddle, steel, dobro, acoustic guitar, upright bass, mandolin, autoharp and piano. Drums are okay too, in moderation, as long as they do not drown out the vocals and other instruments.

I have been to several bluegrass shows where they have 5 pickers/singers sharing one microphone. I like that kind of sound.

Occasionally, I do like some rock, pop and hip hop, but have to be in the mood for it.

My regular radio is news/talk (Boortz, Hannity, etc).
