Stainless door savers

What do you guys think. I did not like the paint wearing of the door step so

i came up with somthing to help protect it and keep it looking good. They are brushed 304 stainless.

Yes i did make them. I can make some more if there is enough interest in them. I like the ones wackerman has and i was going to do somthing like that but i decided it may be a pain in the butt to clean. So i was thinking of having somthing silk screen printed on them. I have talked to my painter and he said it is doable. .

OK i liked the shape on wakerman. So we did some rework. Is this better.

We are using the 3M weater strip tape.

Is is very stick and holds well.

salt and rust

I like the looks of these but wonder if they would create a place for our Michigan road salt to sit and cause rust. I know that we use more salt then the western states.

Wackerman, is that a spongebob diaper under the drivers seat?

I have had some similar on my 85 gmc for about 16 years now and i don't have any rust at all. I think you run into a rust problem once the metal has been exposed to the elments. I would like to do the dodge logo on them but they are pretty stingy with there trade mark stuff and i know i would be in trouble for using it.

HA! No its not, but it does look like one doesn't it! Its a pack of baby wipes. :-laf If you look close, you can see Lightning McQueen in the back seat photo. My 3 year old son doesn't go anywhere in the truck without it!



AMWise, I like the second set you've got there, best, but the first one was cool too.



I haven't had any trouble with the salt, but I do try to wash that area pretty good. The thing I don't like about mine, is that its hard to get into the little areas to clean out the letters. Oh well, thats what the kids fingers are for anyway!

Looks about like my back seat, every time I open the back doors a toy falls out
