When I turn on the radio the left side speakers do not always work, sometimes if I turn the radio on and off a couple of times they will work but not always . There is no common thing (hot, cold) doesn't seem to matter or make a differance. any help would be great. thanks

Mine is starting to do it too. I haven't had time to check it yet but from my past as an auto mechanic it is usually the wire breaking where is passes from the truck to the door. On my brides car the wires had actually snapped off at the speaker

I have had the two front speakers go south on my 99.

You should swap the speakers first and see if the problem follows your driver's speaker to the passenger side. If yes, replace it and be prepared to replace the other.

Both of mine went within a month of each other. Go figure #@$%!

My drivers rear speaker did this and then stopped altogther. The wire had broken where it runs between the frame and door through the flexible boot. Spliced the wire and no problems now.

Start by looking there first and I bet you find the problem.
