I'm having a issue with my truck in the steering column. Everytime I steer Left my shift lever wants to move up towards Park and Right Moves the shifter down to 2nd and 1st. This is very annoying while trying to back the truck up as it keeps jumping out of gear unless I hold the shifter in gear. This will also put the truck in neutral sometimes while turning unless I hold the shift lever. #@$%! Has anyone else experience this problem? Do I need to replace the whole column?

Thanks, Tim

Edit: I forgot to add the truck makes a loud squeak sometimes while turning left inside the column.

You didn't by any chance install the rock ram steering colum bushing did you? That is exactly what my truck did when the mechanic installed mine; forced it too far and cost me a new column.

No Sir, But I did purchase one since I figure I need a new column. That is not good news to hear though
