Trying to figure out if there is a correlation between TSB 18-019-01 and error codes being set. I had a 0500 set about 2 weeks ago which was cleared by the dealer and now a 0500 and a 1693 are set. I understand that the 0500 is related to the speed sensor on the rear axle, so that may just be going bad, but I never had any codes prior to the TSB. Anybody else setting codes after the TSB?

Reading the current TDR (34), I see a couple new TSB numbers for this option. I wonder if 019 is to old for your truck. Might want to see if you can get a reflash or an updated program.

Shelby - your wife called me and said she wished you would spend more time surveying and less time farting with your truck. And your truck would be happier also!

Tom,

I thought maybe you had gone into hibernation for the winter, since I hadn't seen any posts in awhile. Went through Sisters 4 times in the past week, and even thought about you, in fact I just was in Sisters about an hour ago. I will have to ask the wife what she really said :)

So, how about it, ready to get ol KISS reflashed???

Hi Shelby - the only flashing I'll be doing is down main street because lack of anything to do in the town of Little Lights. Really can't see any benefit. My MO is to continue plugging in - which overrides the flash. I'd rather have warm oil than high idle. I've been hanging out at the "Epicurian Delight Coffee and Internet House" on the West end of town, South side of the street. Dollar coffee and a place to sit. Keep your eye out for the 'tlippy' plate. BUT I probably won't be there any of the hoursyou drive thru town. I've got an hour long story to tell you about 'not truck-driving Tom'. It'd be worth you buying me a coffee!!!!!

Thought I would bring this one back to the top. Seems I get this code every winter and every winter I go into high idle. Is this just a coincidence? Lets see what other are seeing today. Also when I use my practical solutions idler I get the 0500 code as well.

I thought I got it in the winter(500) due to using 4 wheel drive and slipping some wheels
