Ok guys read about this one and tell me what to do- So I have an 05 QC/SB/auto 4x4. I take it to the dealer to get the oil changed at 44K, along with a new fuel and air filter, lube, and a change of the rear AAM 1150 fluid. After driving back almost 50 miles home I look at the invoice and see that Bozo the clown also added Limited Slip friction additive to my rear end! Question is..... did it hurt it? Not only that but Bozo took it upon himself to "powerwash" my beloved Cummins! Now all the paint on the lettering on the plastic valve cover is gone. Is there a way to repaint the lettering? I don't want to spend the $$$ on an aftermarket cover. I've been gone a while... its good to be back. Hope everyone had a good Christmas/New Year.

Don't worry about the additive,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'll bet you would have complained if he left it dirty too :-laf:-laf

X2, That paint is so poor rain water would have washed it off. That paint must be from China,I clear coated it and the paint was so cheap it still washed off.

At least the engine under it is not made in China. Too bad Cummins can't or won't use a quality paint. I am more worried about the rear end. But if you guys think it will be ok I'll go with that. I have heard that they add friction modifier in many gear oils, for use in any axle.

We have been adding FM in all axles for years, all Dodges get it if its required or not, except the Fords that require whale fat, if that stuff gets on your hands they stink for days.
