Had mine a few months, and use it only to tow tractor or boat. CEL went off this weekend, returning the dreaded P2262 code. Going in tomorrow to the dealer so they can do TSB 11-001-08. I asked if they could go straight to 11-002-08, but said they can't cause Chrysler asks if they performed the first one before they authorize spending money to replace everything in the second. Seems backwards to me, but o well.
I've wondered about this truck since day one. First, it was almost a year old when i located it. thought it was used, but only had 17 miles on it. No one could tell me why it sat on the lot for so long, but after going to a few dealers, i noticed that many of them had 07. 5's sitting around for no apparent reason, and in various models (i. e. Laramie QC, Mega, Standard, etc). Guess people didn't want the first batch of 6. 7L? I actually love the truck. Now that my other work truck is gone i will be driving this one allot more, so maybe the P2262 wont show up again.
My only question is that as the bugs are worked out on this engine as the years go by, will Dodge issue recalls / TSB's to retrofit / update earlier versions of the 6. 7L? Would sure be nice if they did.
Still, a good truck. Very quiet, rides like a cadillac, and leaves the Ford and Chevy guys scratching their heads when i blow by them!
