Just moved my fuel gauge to the Schrader Valve (removed valve core) and installed an isolator. I still have 12. 50 lbs @idle but now I have 5lbs@WOT, I did have 7lbs WOT when I had it on the fuel filter. I bleed the hose into the isolator, but did not bleed from isolator to the gauge. I guess my question is do I need to bleed isolator to gauge, or do I need to relocate and replace the LP.

BTW installed new Fuel filter today no difference!!

Thanks in advance

Jim

Open the isolator and gently push the membrane back to make a good size void, (i used a pencil eraser), you may need to relieve the pressure from the lp. Fill the small hose to the gauge with antifreeze or silicone , as well as the void in the isolator and put it back together. I would relocate the lp and start looking for a new one... ... Lots of options, i wound up using this, life time warranty.
Glacier Diesel Power - Product Detail
Mine has been in for 6 months with out any issues.
I went through 4 stock junk carter's, and 3 walbro 392 pumps. This one has lasted longer then the rest and with the warranty is cheaper in the long run. . This pump is adjustable and mine is set at 19 lbs idle, and i get 16 at 60 and 14 at WOT. Good luck

You also want your reference point at the inlet to the VP44, not on the fuel filter. If you still have stock lines, there is even more of a restriction at the banjo fitting at the inlet to the pump. 5psi at WOT at the filter housing is almost 0psi at the inlet to the pump.

I did the pencil eraser trick, and the hose is only 2 feet long. I have been doing research on LP, wow there is a few to choose from and a lot of different options on them. A life time warranty is very attractive.

I moved the line from the filter to the Schrader Valve. Which is the test point on the VP44.
