So my OE CP3 had a small (really really small) leak. . just enough to make dirt stick. . but it was under warranty so a new one went in... The dealership told me it was the new improved design. .



Was this typical dealership BS or is it something mo betta?
 
I am surprised they did that, with all the "extra" stuff you have. That must a be one of the few "good" dealers left!

I wouldn't call the good. . but they aren't horrible... as dealership go...



The extra stuff is just increased filtration, they can't argue that.
 
Thats one of the reasons I have the Smarty. . 100% untraceable... and no way a Smarty Jr on SW1 caused a CP3 to leak. .



Love the Smarty for that reason alone. On the CP3 thing I would say line of BS, I don't think they made any changes until the 6. 7L.

Yeah. . I am hearing seals were improved, but no mech changes. .



One thing that was suggested on another site is the FCA is new also, so maybe the new FCA is why I am seeing quicker pressure increases on acceleration.

Is the "new" FCA attached/part of the "new" CP3. Maybe the "improved" part of the FCA makes it less prone to failure??
