Coolant filter thread???

There was a thread about coolant filters that I can not seem to find. Does anyone remember this thread or could point me in the right direction?



It was recently. The OP had installed one and I was going to ask about the fitting they used on the head.

That is the exact thread I was looking for. Curious about the fitting you used on the head. I already have a filter system on the 6. 0 and would like to reuse it when the 5. 9 goes in. Could you tell me where to get a fitting like that?

It's not a single fitting, but a combination of 3 brass fittings - the bushing at the head, a right angle fitting, and then the hose barb fitting to the hose. Had to do it that way to allow threading into the head without interference from the valve cover. The setup is doing just fine so far, but gotta locate a replacement filter cartridge, so I can change out the one on there now when Spring arrives - none available at the local NAPA, so will have to order one over the Internet, or else wait 'til we next get out to civilization... :-laf
