So i decided to do it, i want to go bigger. I have a fairly stock '92 5 spd with 4" straight, smaller housing on stock turbo, and fuel screw tweaked just a bit. I want to know what the best turbo for me to run is and if i should invest in some stronger head studs. Also I'm planning injectors in the future as well. I'm just looking for a mild upgrade that will boost more, spool faster, and still give me decent mpg on highway. any suggestions are great

thanks

Any idea on what kind of injectors you will be running in the future?

I would go for an S300, whether it be the S300G or a 62/71/14 S300. With bigger injectors, I don't think you could go wrong with the 62/71. The 57/65 might be a little to small.

I really like the PDR hx-35/14cm wastegated housing on mine. I definitely recommend the 14cm housing for any 1st gen, even the tow rigs, providing the exhaust is also opened up to let the heat out. Mine's a heavey tow rig and I really like the performance. I have to also recommend the ATS 3-piece 2nd gen manifold and a full 4" exhaust and downpipe - the smaller collars need the bigger exhaust to allow the heat to get out and not be retained within the housing and head, thus allowing you to not have to 'lift'.

An easy upgrade is a HX-35 and you can use the same exhaust housing. The map on the wh1c is to 26 psi the hx-35 is to 30-35psi. Depends on how much power you want. HTT makes compressor upgrades for the WH1c a well.
