Im trying to get a hold of him, I know he is a very busy guyCall Dave at Goerend Bros. I'm not sure a malfunctioning stator would cause that.
I would love it if thats all it was. I have gone through most of the connections to no avail. Spoke with DTT again and few Goerend approved installers and it sounds like its probably the stator. I think it may be time for a new transmission, the money is definitely going to hurt but the results would be sweet! If DTT and the local shop think it's electrical then maybe it is just water getting into a connection someplace. Did you have this problem before the car wash? Maybe jsut a few days to dry out the wet spot will cure it.
Hoefler,
This is WAY off the subject but I noticed your signature on the left side of your post. I have an old Navy friend who lives in Shell Knob in one of the neighborhoods next to the lake at the end of a long winding road to the lake. I've visited many times.
The only way it is 30 miles from Shell Knob to Branson is by boat. I'd guess it is twice that distance by road!
LOL yeah yeah pick on the new guy (750). Any way I spent most of the day a the trans shop, after making a lot of phone calls and doing every thing in my power I had to break down and take it in. I will let everyone know what they find. On a side note if any one ever needs a good transmission shop in southern california look up Danny at My Tran-E Shop. Very knowledgeable and honest!don't know, is 7500 too high? LOL
yeah It will be rebuilt any parts that need to be replaced will be upgraded slightly. Im not going for the full on *****en Trans as money doesn't allow for it right now. I will probably end up with a stronger and slightly more efficient converter, and a valve body (leaning towards the Goerend).Couldn't resist, you only did the 7-7. 5 K RPM thing twice.
How many miles do you have on it and it looks like the motor is basically stock?
Are you getting it rebuilt and if so will it be a stock rebuild?
