Hello, During inspection I found that all of my rocker arms and shafts have galling on them. Looking from the push tube end of the rocker arm all of the wear is on the left side except for the two worst that have a little on the right side. The shaft in the picture is the worst.

75,000 miles on it, oil changed at 5000-7500 depending on what I am doing with it, and other than an inj. pump no one has been into the engine.

Is this common? Does anyone make a roller rocker or a better rocker. What are all the high HP race guys doing that are running big springs?

Thanks, Randy

That could be a lot of things, among them, the need for a bypass oil filter, or crappy rocker arm casting that may need a little TLC with a file and polishing compound. (Which is what I did when it happened to me. ) Or a whole host of other things of which I know nothing about. You blow a headgasket?

Looks to me

Like the oil hole needs a trough to spread the oil film along the length of the pressure point.
