Bowling?

I have a Nikon cool pix S4, 6. 0 mega pixel camera and I like the camera but the trouble is that in no matter what condition all the pictures always have a light blue tint to them with or with out flash indoor or out. Always a blue color to the pics.

Is there a setting in the camera I need to change to fix this or is it a digital camera issue?

Check your white balance. Should be set to auto if auto dont work try adjusting. Also have you looked at the pics on more than one computer it may be your monitor?

Some cameras also have built in filters that may give the pic a certain color you have to check those settings as well

Thanks Kenny... ... .

I just read the book to figure out how and made changes to the white balance and quick snapped and downloaded some pics and that was it. Dang every picture we have taken in the last 2 years have the wrong annoying color and it was a simple setting:{

Found the exposure setting was off also.

I am by no means a professional but have a lot of digital experience. Most pictures should be taken in auto mode (unless you know what you are doing) then look at the display if the are not right, then try to adjust. Thats the best part about digital you know right away if they are screwed up

Find yourself a decent photo editing program that lets you adjust color balance (not auto color) and you can fix all those pictures from over the last two years. If you have a lot of pictures, that can be tedious though.

I use Photoshop, but it is very expensive. Photoshop Elements 7 may let you do it for significantly less $$$. You can download a 30 day free trial from Adobe at Adobe Photoshop Elements 7

Download GIMP if you want to tweak your pictures manually. If you can find out exactly what correction needs to be made (from a Nikon forum, maybe), you should be able to download and use ImageMagick to correct all your pics. Doing it manually would be very tedious.

GIMP and ImageMagick are free, quite capable and available for different OSes. They're all I've used for years now.
