Hey all, getting ready to swap out my rotted stock muffler and tailpipe with an MBRP cool duals T409 system. What are your thoughts on a cat delete at the same time? I'm wondering at 100k how much it's restricting me? I've read so many posts concerning low range loss with no cat/ no backpressure, however I will have some backpressure from the MBRP muffler. Does anyone have this setup with no cat? Any likes or dislikes? Benefits or drawbacks? Thanks in advance.

My advice is take the Cat off and put it in the garage untill you are forced to put it back on. Use "band type clamp" instead of ubolt type and it will be a lot easier to take apart later if needed

It is my understanding loss of back pressure is only a problem with gas motors. With a turbo, less back pressure is a big plus.

I have a 5" turbo back single(shop diesel brand), had the cat off for a while and then got skeerd of johnny law(I live in CA). I put on a 5" magnaflow cat and an aero 5" muffler (shop diesel muffler was way too loud for me). I feel like the turbo doesn't spool up as quick but the difference maybe in my head.

PS. use band type clamps they hold well if you get them tight enough (recheck after a couple of heat cycles). I learned the hard way and had to cut off a muffler.
