anybody heard of a heavy duty c bearing for a third gen? the stock one is junk. 70,000 miles am on the third one

I've never heard of a failure. My former '01 has 350k miles on the OEM, my former '06 had 230k on the OEM when I sold it. My '08 has 46k on it now.

Something is wrong with your differential housing or the way you use or maintain it.

I have seen a few... ..... not everybody uses their truck the same. Out here in the west,I see more failures with the 06 and the other years just wear out.

The rubber on mine wore out. The later years are much less stout. Give Sage a call at Carli Suspension. He can source you one.

Mine went out in my '04. Found out a bad u-joint was the culptrit. It was assembled wrong at the factory. That was the one and only carrier that went out on that truck. Replacing the joint also cured my launch shudder.

The carrier bearings went out on the 99 I had at about 30,000 miles. Now the center support bearing, which I think this thread is about, never gave me a problem on that truck in 115,00 miles and I have about 35,000 on present truck. bg
