Towing across Ebbets Pass, CA

Removing trailor brake drum

Just a few pics of my trip to Oceano Dunes in California. went there originally to find a toy hauler. since California seems to be having a liquidation sale on them i figured what better place to buy a used one.

This was at the height of the weekend. 1000 camping passes allowed.

This was a shot of day use people on Saturday getting stuck as they headed back towards the dunes.

We stayed till Tuesday to help clean up the beach and wait for the crowds to clear out... which they did in one day

As we hitched up and drove down to the water this guy in a 2WD chevy gets stuck as the tide was coming in. no shovel, no tow strap and tires fully aired up... . his wife was not happy. his axle was sitting on the sand at this point.

Heavy duty car wash to remove the salt water--$20
Replace fluid in rear diff--$100
Knowing that a video of your stupidity will show up on Youtube--Priceless!

That looks like fun, except for all the people!

$120.00 ??

$120. 00 would be the half *** way to clean up that mess.

Rear axel would have to be disassembled,as should the brakes, rotors ujoints.

Amazing!!!!!!

Only in Calif. Check out Glamis sometime!!

Got guys for days hauling 40 foot weekend warriors, with F-250's with 6 in lift kis and 40" super swampers:eek:

It was a quick guess!:-laf I've been stuck in sand, but never in sand under the water. Speaking of F-250's on huge tires pulling houses, Sand Mountain near Fallon, Nevada is the same. Big triple axle monsters with jacked up Chebbies, Furds, and, yes, even some nutso Dodges. They are so overloaded it's crazy.
