RV Shopper Purchased An Arctic Fox

I'm posting this for my friend Grizzly and other Arctic Fox owners.

This thread follows a couple of other threads this guy posted over @ Escapees where he was asking for opinions on cheap trailers with lots of glitz and glitter. The poor guy has apparently previously owned two or three bad choices. He asked questions, did his homework, and bought an Arctic Fox. We have a number of Arctic Fox owners here who will endorse his choice.

I have less enthusiasm for his tow vehicle choice but that's not my problem. The Arctic Fox sounds pretty large and is probably too heavy for a 3/4 ton GM car but, oh well.

I like the Desert Fox series of toy haulers, but the Northwoods page doesn't have alot of pictures or dimensions in order to see garage sizes and things like that. I know they are sturdy built trailers, just wish they had a little more information about them. I do like the standard and optional features that are available. Makes them seem like a very capable Toy Hauler. Scotty

The most important feature is the frame/axles due to GVW ratings vrs the actual weight. What is left over is the size of toy you can haul, putting it in a garage would be my last priority, but if thats important to you call a dealer and ask for those specs. I would be surprized if they didn't fax those to you, but find out what your cargo weight is and include it with your tanks full (for the model your looking at) and it should not be over the GVWR.

I had heard of them before I purchased mine, but knew little about them. The first thing that impressed me was the stout frame and GVWR vrs the dry weight allowing a lot more room for my gear with full tanks. Towing it with the 2500 puts it at the GCVWR with the tanks full. Pulling it with my 3500 C&C is not even close to the limits and my C&C rides a lot nicer.
