Feel the road in the wheel

As the title says a friend of mine has an 06 and he claims that he feels the road in his steering wheel. I guess he feels every little bump in the wheel itself. Any ideas?

His front tires are probably overinflated.

His front tires are probably overinflated.

Front tires are @ 50lbs. They are Michelin AT2's 285/70/17. They are showing signs of wear on the outside of the tire for some reason though. That may have something to do with it. He just recently replace front u joints and upper ball joints. We also noticed that his sway bar links are bent.
