Not asking for help or advice, just need to rant for a second. I just had a new starter/flywheel installed 21 Jul... . my new starter is already toast. It started the truck 3 times and is now shot. Truck is back in the shop again, had to pop the clutch to get it started so I could get it down to the shop. My truck has spent more time in the shop this last week than the last 5 years combined.
It's not going to make you feel better, but trust me when I tell you that we have all been there at least once and will probably be there again at some point.
My own personal favorite, one that we can look back on and laugh at now, was when were doing a head job a few years ago. We had just finished putting everything back together. The new fire-rings were in place, the head studs were in, turbos hooked back in place, injectors and lines on and ready to go. As we were filling the truck up with water, my wife comes by and said... "Hey, what's that puddle under the truck?"

Sure as heck, water was running out of the front of the head as fast as we were putting it back in. :{
Story get's better... ... so we take it all back down and take a look at the gasket. Sure as heck, it had a manufacturing flaw in it that stamped a small tab too far in to the water jacket. All right, no big deal, get out another gasket, check to make sure it was a good one, and start over. After we were all done, a call to the vendor was answered by... ... "Hey great, we knew we had one more of those bad gaskets out there. Glad you found it..... ":--) They made very good on it, but I can tell you... that was one long day.
