Apparently you have never been to India. Interesting place. Number 1 rule, watch out for yourself. Don't expect gov't, police, the guy next to you to keep you safe. We are talking about a place where an entire wedding party of 30 gets wiped out routinely because they are riding in the back of a dump truck that had a head on with a bus. But it's better now. You should have seen it 20 years ago.

I was an Infantryman in the British Army and spent 2 years in India, 1945-47, the trains often have people hanging off the sides also riding on roofs. A typical poster shows people on the roof and train about to enter a low tunnel and people scramble to get off, (some luck) just get brushed off, in the countryside the railroad bridges not have handrails or any upper structure, and often shares the same bridge with the road side by side. When our Battalion was being moved were had IASC, Indian Army Service Corp as were were Infantry so not enough trucks to move us, as a Jungle Battalion only had mules, Meat Wagon and a few trucks, a motor cycle and a 15 cwt pickup truck. WE were going over a bridge and a driver hit a bollard marking the start of the bridge and as were were sharing the bridge just as the train was coming from the opposite direction, when the truck ahead of us struck the bollard it rose up and the tail end canted towards the track, people were being swept off much like fruit on a conveyor belt when it comes to the diverter. The train and truck stopped and the rear wheels of the truck came to rest on people. Right away the convoy stopped and our MO dashed up to see what he could do. bringing his kit with him. An Indian Army soldier motioned the truck to move and the rear wheels was spinning but still on the bodies as the truck was still jammed the nose firmly embedded to the bollard. The MO screamed out to stop then took control of the situation. They jacked up the rear of the truck off the bodies, moved the bodies then freed the truck and we moved on. I was surprised how efficient our MO was took control immediately just as if it was a drill. All the Indian Army trucks I saw were Dodge we used to call them 3 toners, they had steel box beds and right hand drive. Over the passenger portion what looked from the outside as a spare tire with a canvas covering on the roof was actually a look out position, one would unzip it from the seat, the flap would drop down stand on the seat to view or direct the driver. I can still see the scene as if it just happened, not bothered though as there life means very little. If you see a person hit down on the road and you give that person aid that person can demand you keep them for the rest of its life, that is why no none gives aid, plus traffic will not stop as if they do they will be blamed.

I had a neighbor who knocked down the power line to his house.

Dumbass was going to pick it up and I kept yelling "DONT TOUCH IT!"

Yup... he picked it up.

Lucky for him the house was only 2-3 years old and the insulation was still decent.



There was lots of vids like that in high voltage class. I dont like electric.
