Thinking about installing a truck bed cover on my dually. Iam not really interested in a hard cover due to having tool box sitting below side rail and also have fifth wheel hitch in bed at times. Can you give me any recommendations on different manufacturers.

I've had my Truxedo Lo Pro cover for 5 or 6 years and it's still like new. I like that it rolls up quickly, and there are no snaps. (Velcro)

We have the Extang Full Tilt cover on our '07 Ram and the '05 Silverado. I love the ability to lift the entire cover off in a matter of seconds without having to deal with the snaps later. They seem to keep the water out quite well and are holding up the the salt and grime here decent also. If it is still being made when we purchase our next trucks, I'll buy it again.

I have the Pace Edwards Jackrabbit cover and after two years it is still water tight and works without problem. I can get bales of hay in the bed and close the cover. I would get another one.

I have the Access Rollup cover on my dually (Lorado model cover)

Like the fact you can adjust tension on cover. Cover latches at back on both sides when closed... ... then just apply a little pressure to close up the velcro sides.

After 1 year I can still say I would buy the same one again. Not the cheapest, but very happy with the quality.

I may try the Truxedo BUT anyone know if it works with bed rail covers?

I called Truxedo and they said sometimes they do depending on how much the bed rail cover sticks into the bed.

On mine they supplied a spacer so the outer edge would not have a gap so its sketchy if the Truxedo will work or not.

My truxedo works with my aluminum bed covers. The only thing I have been disappointed in on the Truxedo was that my velcro pulled off the covers frame. I just need the time and some gorrila glue to put it back in place. Other than that, its been well worth the $300 or so I paid for it.

I can't remember the exact model I got, but because I have a chest toolbox that sits flush with the top of the bedrails, I needed the one that sat on top of the bedrails.

I too bought the Agricover from Geno's garage about 5 years ago and it has held up very well. Keeps 99% of the water out, has adjustable tension and the velcro side connection. Would definiteley buy again, and if I recall it was only about 400 bucks.

I ordered one, worried though cuz my DeeZee bed caps stick in 1/4" on each side with the supplied spacers.

I may have to send it back.

Anyone know if there is a similar roll-up type that would mount with the DeeZee bed rails OR a cover that would mount on top of the rails vs inside?

Thought I would post back and maybe save someone the hassle.

I ordered Truxedo #546601 thats their Low-Pro that fits inside the bed.

This won't work with my DeeZee bed rail caps because the inside of the bed is more narrow than factory with those caps. DeeZee has you install 1/4" spacers to fill the gap so by the time you install those + the caps thickness + more if it has raised diamond plate you end up with a cover that is too big.

Looks like I will need a cover that rides on top of the bed rails vs inside which is ok by me as long as I can get as good of quality the Truxedo is, it has a lifetime warranty.

Truxedo will custom build a Low-Pro for me but the added expense and hassel down the road if I need a replacement may not be as good as one that fits on top.

Any recommendations for a soft roll cover that fits on top of the bed?

I've got a Pace Edwards roll top cover that has worked great. I was watertight on my first truck (professionally installed) and has a few leaks on the second truck when I installed it. I'd definitely by another if I was in the market.

Color me solidly in the Agricover Access Rollup corner. I've had mine since '03 and you can't beat it. Service and support from the factory has been superb (not that I've needed it much), but when I ran my ATV into the bed of the truck and ruined the front crosspiece, I found Agricover would replace it and the cover for a very fair price. Looks brand new when you treat the cover with the recommended spray.

I also have the Agricover. They are built here in ND. I have had wet heavy snow piled on it and it stood up great. I also like the underside locks and if you combine that with a tailgate lock from Geno's, you'd have have a semi-secure storage. Some could still cut through the cover but chances are there is probably a "softer target" parked nearby.

Someone stuck a knife through mine a few years ago and Agricover sent me a free patch for the underside. I don't even know the hole is there. I also get better mileage with the cover in place.
