The Truth About the Furd 6.4 ltr. Powerstroke Diesel

Arco diesel quality

Stroke_this - if you're working for Halliburton, will you give us the scoop on how these trucks (particularly the engine) hold up to the beating they are about to receive?

I don't like the looks of those flexible exhaust pipes going up into the vee like that. Seems like they'll wear out after several years and wind up blowing hot exhaust all over the engine compartment.

On edit - why the heck doesn't The Diesel Stop have a section for 6. 7 yet? Seems like that would be a good place to get inside info.

i dont think you need to worry about the flex exhaust. from what i have seen on other industrial apps, it seems to hold up very well over time.

2011 with the 6. 7 all the way. What a superior piece of machinery... absolutely brillant

looks like another koolaid drinker. i will admit i'am impressed with everything i read about this engine[just about everything] but i wouldnt label it a superior piece until it's been out a while. i wont talk it down till this time either.

'strokeThis_'07, I am not at all impressed. Why didn't they get a real truck with a real engine?

Ive been waiting for Dodges to roll throught the gates, but as the old saying goes, you can wish in one hand and crap in the other... which ones going to fill up first?

On the Ford SuperDuty Website... they said 4 companies were getting them as test units before they get released. Halliburton was mentioned as one of them. They have a section of the website that follows the results and comments.

That vid, pertaining to Halliburton, was filmed here in Rock Springs and those are some guys on our cement crew
