Will the stock lift pump (side of filter canister) push fuel through a 2 micron filter that is mounted between the lift pump and the injector pump?

Cold weather will give the pump a workout. Make sure the filter is heated. Have
a fuel pressure gauge hooked up on the upstream side of filter. Genos has the
setup. I would have the gauge in this configuration what ever the filter you're
using, and check it as soon as the engine is running. It's a first warning for a tank
of bad fuel, and at least an indicator for a filter element change.
