Is there any reason i couldn't run the fuel line from the FASS system through the factory fuel filter canister and then to the injection pump instead by-passing it like it is now? That way I could still utilize the FASS for its better pump and as a pre-filter. Or why couldn't I run the fuel line from the FASS into another filter like a GDP that would allow me to use the 2 micron Cat filter?

Either would work, but the first option will also increase your f/w sep to where it should be.

I'm considering a filter upgrade and have been doing some research on what others have done. How important is the AD and FASS claims about stripping air from the filter stage? Does that require a special type of filter or is it just a feature of the filter head?

AH64ID, I really like your setup, what type of LP are you running?

Its a feature of the filter head. To be honest I am not sure how important it is. IMHO contanimantes and water are more important.
