Like the title says, is the manual t-case available in the SLT or Lonestar trims? Everything I have found says not. For example, the SLT package lists the electric shift t-case as standard. Please tell me you can order the truck otherwise, e. g. SLT trim with manual t-case?

From what I was told, no you can't order the manual case with the SLT trim. Perhaps you can order the base model truck and then "dress" it up by adding options?

I have run into the same thing on other options, and it's very frustrating. Unfortunately, it's not just Dodge selling vehicles this way. I believe the days of the cafeteria plan (choosing individual options) are over.

All I wanted my year was a slightly dressed up ST. Unfortunately I couldn't get a power driver's seat without going to an SLT. I was able to get a manual transfercase lever though. I like this manual six-speed,but if a six-speed auto would have been available, that's the route I'd have gone.

I've tried it both ways, but the internet truck builders conspire to prevent me from building the perfect truck. Keeps making my 04 look better and better. It's exactly how I want it and I found it on the lot-not a custom order.

Me too. I have come to appreciate some of the finer cab amenities, but with a utilitarian mechanical foundation. It's a pitty MFRs are going this route. IMO, you should be able to order a truck EXACTLY how you want it, no if's and's or but's about it.
