I'm looking to build a 2wd 12 valve truck and I'm coming across alot af older 160hp trucks. How much power can be ultimately made on fuel only with a 160 hp version without changing the pump? I'd like to be around 500 at the wheels on fuel only. Thanks in advance

In edit, whats the deal with delivery valves and how big can I go? Sorry, new to 12 valves...

I think 500 hp is possible with the 160 pump. 400 hp easy. But I think you are better off doing what I did and buy a used 215 pump and put it in. In the long run about the same money for 500 hp and less mods to get there. The main problem I have seen with 160 pumps is they don't opperate well with the 4k govenor spring. I made 400 hp easy on a 180 pump in a old truck that I sold.
