On a 2003 what is the correct tool to use to remove the FCA from the CP-3 while it is still on the engine?

It seems to be a star screw driver but when i stared to turn it it felt like the screw driver was going to brake. Is there something else that would work better?

Thanks

Don

There are 8 screws that hold your inner fender in place, you can have it out in 5 minutes. The CP3 is much more accessible with it out of the way:).

i might have to try to take the fender off and see if i can break the bolts. I had to get my die grinder out and cut a line for a flathead screwdriver.

Does anyone know how many bolts hold the FCA in? Any additional tip on changing this out..... I will be doing it soon as I ordered a new one.

Thanks!

in the 5 minutes you spend pulling the fender, you could have the FCA out and the new one installed :p

Not if your old and have a surgically repaired back :-laf:-laf. But, your absolutely right, stand on your tire, sneak your right hand(equipped with a 1/4" drive ratchet, 2" extension, and #25 torx bit) behind and under your intake horn, use your left hand to guide the bit to the screw, and presto :D.

Unless your feet slip off the tire, you lose balance and fall, dropping the ratchet handle across the terminals of your battery.....

Three torx, and when pulling the FCA there is a o-oring that is on the end of the FCA, it should pull out with a little tug.

Thanks for all the help guys. I was checking it out a few mintes ago. However, it is dark out so could only see two torx bolts, I assue the third one is on the bottom?
