I was having a little fun playing with the vehicle configurator on Dodge's website but it seems you can't get 2-tone paint or leather interior on anything other than the Laramie??

Yep, and you cannot get the manual transfer case floor shifter in anything but an ST either.

Things have changed a lot since you used to get 2-tone, whatever wheels you wanted and leather in anything but the ST. Looks like they geared it so if you want some of the nice basics you have to get the top of the line model along with a lot of other things you wouldn't necessarily want. That's what I did when I ordered my '03 new, went SLT with leather and 2-tone.

Agreed. For $50k plus, a man should be able to order his truck exactly like he wants it. I just built a 2010 SLT as similar as I could get it to my current 04 SLT, with some obvious exceptions that they require you to get, which are listed below. It makes me sick that the price for the 2010 has increased by over $10K since the 04 MY. Some folks might not blink at that and some may even rationalize it, but I think it's ridiculous. In all fairness, the great deal I got on my 04 ($8k off sticker) makes it even more painful.

I do not know man! My next truck will most likely be the last one I ever buy, so I want all those goodies! BUT the price is over the top. 55K for a pickup. I could by a 500K mile Volvo 610 for 25k to 30K.

let's see what the Volvo looks like and it's close to overhaul so what does a overhaul cost . this might be the way to go for me , to haul my tractors on .

When I ordered my '07,all I wanted was an ST w/practical upgrades like a power adjustable driver's seat. No go. I had to order an SLT to get it.

Well at 500K you are still 500K from a major overhaul. The Volvo has the best wheel cut, so they turn sharper than a pickup. Cost a few grand to single it out. One wants the auto shift transmission. Clutch to start and stop, then shifts without the clutch thru the gears. BIG BRAKES! Big fuel tank! 9-10MPG towing a large 5th wheel. Air ride, air cab, air seat = comfort!



One problem, wife does not like the idea!

One member on NW Bombers hauled commercially with two Dodge Cummins then decided to give a Volvo a try. . . wished he'd made the move a lot sooner. More comfortable ride, better power, and better MPG.
