If you look at the fumoto several posts above, it comes with a blue composite gasket. Do yourself a favor and get a dead soft copper gasket the same size. The first time I installed mine, the gasket split, of course I didn't notice until after I poured in the oil. Had to drain it all to replace the gasket.

I have one on my Honda Odyssey, Toyota Corolla, 96 F250 460ci (engine and transmission), and my Chenowth Long Travel Buggy with a Subaru engine. Before that I had one on my Sentra, Lexus, Jeep, and 2 Volvo's.

I have already ordered my next Fumoto for my first Cummins that I plan on picking up in OK. this Thursday.

They work very well, never leak and I don't miss the pool of oil in my arm pit one bit!

Even if the spring loaded locking lever were to fail the little ball valve is so tight it will not open with normal engine vibrations.

As far as the nipple goes, I usually buy the one with the nipple and if it looks like it will hit something, I just take it off with a hacksaw. It is just brass.

Did I mention I use 2 of these on my boat with twin 3208 cats!

I remember way back when I first got mine the recommendation was to cross drill holes so all oil would drain out and I did that. I cannot remember now what the dimension was to do this. Later someone when had the oil pan off said the pan recessed and very little oil would be left even if not cross drilled. All this being said I doubt enough oil would be left to hurt 11 quarts of fresh oil in my limited opinion.

I have to say that I got alot of great feedback about this subject. I am going to call Geno's and get my order in! Thanks guyx.

I have the Fumoto one touch (lever) with the small extension and absolutely love it. It's great for taking oil samples and it directs the oil straight to my drain pan. A lot less mess. BTW, I use a 12" piece of clear tubing to direct my oil. I also use a vinyl type boot to cover the extension to keep any unwanted stuff out of there between changes.

I like the idea of the extension. But with the two wheel drive It just appears to be to low to the ground. But I glad you like yours. Oo.
