Last week the truck threw 121, 237, 1691 codes it also had a dead pedal and idle problems after a lot of research (probably not enough) I replaced the vp44 and the APPS (timbo), just finished the work and now it's showing the following codes 1689, 122, 121, 1691 and 237. Do Ineed to take it in and have the codes cleared or is there something else causing trouble. I cleaned the MAP sensor, but I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. I also installed an Air Dog to keep the new VP-44 safe.

If the engine seems to be running properly, go ahead and clear the trouble codes, drive it, and if any come back report back hear and we'll help you troubleshoot. You can buy an inexpensive code reader at your favorite auto parts store or Wal-Mart to clear the trouble codes yourself. Something fun to have is a ScanGauge which displays all sorts of real-time trip and engine data (from the OBDII port) and clears trouble codes.

Thanks John

Howdy John, I hit the send button before I hit the think button:-laf. Went down and bought a scanner, cleared the codes. Truck runs great, no codes, no problems. I can hghly recommend, the Air Dog fuel pump and Timbo for the APPS. Purchased the VP-44 and the Air Dog pump through Thourobred diesel , great folks to deal with. Thanks for the help, Skip
