I have a 06 5. 9 that just started missing, it is at the dodge dealer now . It has just turned 100,000 miles.

They are waiting a call to see if dodge is going to cover the injector under warranty.

If they do ok, if not what should I do? They say the injector is expensive and they have to put it in and set it up in the ecm.

Thanks for any help on this, I miss my truck, Larry

Run away from that *******... The only thing their looking to set up is their Bank Account, Also the remans From Chrysler are poor quality,Yep. . it will be another " I never heard of that before". .

The only thing thats needs setup is you to pay too much for too little. Bolt the new injector(s) in and done, nothing else needed. You can buy NEW Bosch injectors for around $320-$350 depending on who has the best deal. A lot of people change an injector on the roadside with a few hand tools. Don't let them buffalo you.

If they don't warranty it, go elsewhere for the work and the injectors both.

I did the injector flow return test to figure out if just one bad injector was causing the hard to start problem. In my case I found 2 that were out of limits by quite a bit so I bought 2 new injectors from T&C Diesel (TWest on this forum) as he had the best prices and great customer service. The truck starts like it was brand new now and you don't have to re-program the ECM, that's hogwash. My truck always ran great, it was just reluctant to start when it was warm. If your's is running poorly then your injector failure is different from mine and if you may have a solenoid going out, the injector return test won't really tell you much. You could cap the fuel line at the rail as a way of isolating each injector from the rest and find it that way.

I just did 6 injectors in about 8 hours, without the special tools and as CoastyAV8R said it runs like a new truck. If you are mechanically inclined you shouldn't have a problem at all. And I purchased my injectors (Brand new Bosch) from T&C Diesel. Good Luck
