I lucky out with my ford excursion 2005 with 6. 0 in it. I have 125,000 on it without any major problems so far. the frist 100,000 I used it as truck aslo the fuel mileage was 7-10 towing heavy and 12-14 light. Running empty it was getting 13-14 city and 15-17 highway. I did the banks mod on it after it hit 100,000k and the mpg empty went by 33 percent across the board.

The new dodge compare to the ford and chevy trucks are realy close over all. I just perefer the cummings in the truck.

33%... . aha no it didnt, maybe the feel good meter says so but nope aint goin to happen.

and its Cummins... . see no G there

I had an 83 Ford the 1st year they put the 6. 9 in them with a 3. 08 gear and 4 speed and would get 24 to 25 mpg regularly but the speed limit was 55 back in those days. She was pretty slow off the line put had some top end once you got her rolling.

The urea is not used in the combustion process. i suppose these numbers might be possible in a controlled environment with a new vehicle, where regeneration would not be required for the purpose of the test. A low driving speed, around 50 MPH, would also help, as the new Ford is running just over 1000RPM at that speed. The new engine also does not use the high boost pressure that the 6. 4 did- that's a fuel saver right there.

You can get 23 mpg on the Cummins 6. 7 as long as you are in between regens. 75 miles and the FROD didn't re-gen. . That would be the story as it sucks down 5 gallons in the next 75 miles just for the DPF regen. . What a marketing joke! Funny thing is that this stuff sells more FRODs than any other truck. .

Well thats doing the old fashion way. Like I said I add the banks mods to it and keep my foot out it and it does happen

So your sayin that you went from say the normal 15mpg to 20mpg with just a tuner... . yea still not buy'n what your selling. 1 or 2 mpg yea i could see that. Or i could see the first tank you drove it like a typical prius driver, ya know really slow and annoying, on that tank then maybe 33% but same driving, roads, and loads... not happening.

I'm thinking it's the "keep my foot out of it" that giving you the better mileage.

I state that I install the banks mod. That is the intercooler, airbox, and larger exhuast plus the tuner. It does not matter to me if you buy it or not I state facts
