My dad bought an '09 Big Horn package 2500 series 4x4 CTD. He has been happy with the truck overall, but he has a problem that he can't seem to clear on his overhead console. It started sounding off a couple weeks ago that he had low tire pressure. After checking them, he bumped them all up a bit to just over the factory recommended pressures. The light and buzzer are still going off, I don't see a way to clear the fault. Can anybody give me the correct way to clear the fault from the memory on this system?

Thanks

Has he swapped new wheels onto the rig w/o taking the sensors out of the OE wheels? If the sensors are there and the tires are at the correct pressure it may have a faulty sensor.

Everything is bone stock on this rig. Dad is not into changing things away from factory stock configuration. I was wondering about a bad sensor, but his tires were all a bit below spec. when it sounded off originally. Tires are now slightly above the correct pressure listed on the door pillar, and the warning display has not reset itself. I just can't find any way to clear the fault code.

My truck doesn't have that "feature" but my experience with it on other vehicles is that it is an automated system, meaning the warning indicators will go off on their own once the pressure is within the proper threshold.

If it's under warranty take it to the dealer and let them fix it on their dime.

The spare wheel does not have the sensor on it (as far, as I know). When you changed the air pressures (especially going from light to heavy load TPMS butttom), you usually have to drive 10-15 miles and will reset itself (the light will go off if you are within range of the pressure of the TPMS)

The dealer can also drop those pressures down for guys who go w/ a different size tire. Mine were dropped down to 30 psi on the light load activation.
