booster doesn't leak off vacuum. after 10 mins, I can pull the fitting at the booster, and it then sucks in air, so it's holding a good bit of vacuum.

1000 ohm resister in the two-wire temp plug for the trans didn't work. . that light is still on.

Checked out the clockspring, and reseated all connections. horn works, CC doesn't, airbag light still on.

I will get a trailer plug, to put it back together, but I've disconnected the trailer controller, and the ABS/Brake lights still come on, if I sit for a minute.

OK, then the water in a connector isn't the problem. 96s and earlier have a vacuum switch in the ABS system. Not positive where it is, but I believe it is near the drivers side battery.

Am I looking for a leak or something at this 'vacuum switch' in the ABS?

Just a swag here, since I don't have one. I'm thinking it has a vacuum line going to it and a couple of electrical wires going to the ABS controller, so am surmising that vacuum closes a switch and completes a circuit. Probably has something to do with your vacuum assist brakes.

I'll check it out, regardless, and see if I can find anything obviously wrong. Or at least just locate this 'switch' ;)

on the left inner fender, there's a vacuum switch with a 3-wire harness. the vac. line is about 1/4" size, and it goes over the brake master cylinder assembly, and necks down to about 1/8" hard plastic line, then Ts into a couple other lines. The vac. line seems fine, and I reseated the harness connector to no avail.

Did you tap the wires for a circuit with vacuum off and on? Some one with a 96 or older needs to tell you exactly what the switch does.

No, i didnt. I just kinda looked for the obvious stuff, of which I saw nothing that "looked" amiss.
Yeah, I need to find out what that is, and if it's my problem.
