My brother has an '03 gasser Ram with what sounds to me like one of those really dumb, expensive, and unreliable gizmo systems that automatically locks the doors when the truck reaches a certain speed.

His blows the power door lock fuse every time it does that. Has anyone here had similar problems or have any idea what to look for?

Thanks! Scott

That would mean the door lock fuse should blow any time the power locks are used, whether by the automatic speed sensor doohickey or by the driver, right?

I'm going to have him to clarify if the fuse blows only when the gizmo locks them or if it blows every time the power locks are used.

Not just used but specifically when locked.

Is it easy to get the inner door panel off?

I need to fix the wiring problem with my drivers side rear door panel.

ITs dead simple to remove the panel. Just remove the inner door handle(10 0r 12mm. . cant remember which. ) Then there's a phillips screw to remove then pick up on the panel and it will come out of its lock grooves. Reach in and unplug the door panel harness... Its takes all of about 2 minutes from start to finish.
