I put some in my '01. I got the grey and black leather National units from Suburban. Call Mike... he will hook you up with what you need. They don't make brackets for mine... It took me 3 days to incorporate the stock brackets, the brackets that came with the seats and the new steel. I also bought the seat heaters and I mounted the air compressor system to an old plastic cutting board. I would also suggest putting an on/off switch into the circuit. Otherwise you may come out one morning and find you have dead batteries.
From what I understand about the '03 and on... the seats bolt right in. I would think a guy could get this done in a day.
I installed a black/dark grey leather National seat in my 06 3500. Suburban supplied an adaptor plate that fit right in. Had no trouble installing it at all. I think I paid around $1100. 00 for everything. I installed the compressor in the bed of my truck (I had a canopy). Used it for about 2 weeks, and didn't like the fact that it just didn't seem to have enough lateral support for me. Yanked it all out, and it's sitting in my basement waiting for my next trip to the dump. I have to say it appeared very well made, it just didn't work for me. I went back to the crappy factory seat, and used it until I sold the truck this January.
