Well, after impatiently waiting a week for my truck to be shipped in from a dealer trade, I took her on her maiden voyage and promptly hit a deer :{#@$%!

I-90 going thru Deer Kamikazee Ally about 60-65mph around 10pm and here comes 4 of the little suckers. I could see it in their eyes, they were out for blood! 2 of them were wearing flak jackets and helmets! I mean these guys were the Taliban of deer, all I could think was "oh man, I hope they didn't set up an I. E. D. in the middle of the road!" So, I almost get threaded thru them when the leader tucks his head and comes running straight at me! I tried to get outta his way but he was too determined. Ended up nailing me in the driver's side rear fender. :{ If I had been driving my old SRW I woulda missed him, but them training wheels sticking out there just couldn't resist slapping him on the way by!

210 miles and 8 hrs after picking her up. Oh well...

Put her to work hauling 5,000lbs of water softener salt, handled it extremely well. 1st 2500lb pallet didn't even settle her down onto the overloads, 2nd pallet and she sank the overloads about 1/2 inch. Rode and drove VERY nice. Felt soft, but not "wallowy".

Thanks! I'm loving it so far.

Pics were "pre deer" it basically put a dent in the fender right where the amber marker light is. Could have been a whole lot worse.

Sounds like it could have been much worse! Hopefully you'll have it fixed and like new before you know it. Hopefully it will be a faint memory after it's fixed!

Went to the body shop today, they were able to pull most of it out with a suction cup, had their paintless dent repair guy look at it, he's pretty confident he can make it all but noticable.

PERFECT! In my neighborhood we have a dude called Dent-Dave. He's online and goes to all the dealers of course. He's got a professional mobile business.

I had my 2005 with him several times to remove small dents. He could work miracles even on larger ones. Hopefully your guy can make it invisible to the naked eye. That would be perfect!

Nice looking truck and your lucky anytime you can drive away after hitting a wild critter. In my neck of the woods we don't have deer, lucky us! We just need to watch out for those 700 LB + moose. LOL
