2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 02 Dana 60 front axle spline count?

I am looking at getting an Eaton E-locker for the front dana 60 on my 02 and I can't remember what the spline count on the axles are. Looking at lockers there are 30-32 and 35 spline axles.



Anyone know for sure as its been a while since I have been ito one and can't recall.

You can rule out 35 spline. That would have made too much sense. Take the code off the axle tube and call Rand's Ring and Pinion. They are very knowledgeable. The Dana/Spicer website also has a code finder but I have never been able to make it work.

You're welcome. Do you have the Dana with the one piece axle on the right. I have an 01 and it came with the cad system. Lucky for me I could use the axle shaft from the late 02 Dana with the one piece axle. I sure like it! No more cad issues for me. I'm trying to find a place to buy 3. 73 gears. Hope things work out. I know you're limited for traction options for the 32 spline axles. Dynatrac sells 1 1/2" 35 spline axles if you want to upgrade. I think the cost is about $550. Good luck. Bunyan

Yep, just replace the spider gears in the differential to 35 spline. EMS sells the 35 spline axles in chromoly for the same price as Dynatrac. Should be much stronger. good luck.
