I recently removed my Edge w/Att to install the Smarty. In my haste to get it done, I forgot to dial the Edge down to zero (stock) before unplugging the system; does this matter? Do I need to re-install it to dial it back down because the parameters are still in the ECM? I was thinking that since it is a "shift on the fly" and has its own brain box, it doesnt hard program into the ECM.

I also plan on selling it so I want to make sure that I havent locked it to my truck and have a ****** off buyer who cant use it.

It shouldn't matter. The Edge and other boxes just modify and change the signals and don't affect the ECM. However the Smarty and other programmers overwrite or modify the ECM parameters.

One caution just in case you try to run both the Edge and the Smarty. Don't run the Smarty advanced timing programs, (1,3,5,7,9) with the Edge because to much timing can melt your engine down.

Just my 2 cents.

Kinda my same line of thought with the boxes, but also another reason I want to make sure it was left stock when I removed it; I dont want to stack these two products.
