I have a nephew ( In Greeley, CO ) that is having problems with the charging system in his 06 Ram 3500. His gauge intermittently shows it's charging 15-16 volts then his accessories (Radio, etc. ) will stop working until he stops and restarts the engine.

He was going to take it to a Dodge dealer and I recommended he not do that unless we can't find a good local mechanic recommended by some of the TDR guys.

Neither he nor I have much faith in dealerships any more, so any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Ray

I had a decent experience recently at the local Cummins Southern Plains facility for an emergency water pump replacement. I'm not sure how wide the repair services are that they offer, but you might try Cummins Rocky Mountain:

Address:

8211East 96th Ave.

Henderson, CO 80640

Phone Number:

Toll Free: (800) 927-7201

Even if they won't work on engine peripherals they might recommend someone they trust.

Ditto on Bob Berends aka Laser Bob I drive from Castle Rock up to Greeley to use him when needed. He is a straight shooter and has always done quality work for me.

How's that for service!! Once again, we see the immense benefits of the TDR... name & number of the guy right there in Greely... awesome! Can't get any better than that!

One more vote for Laser Bob. He did my DTT transmission, and a few other things. You won't go wrong, and he has a new shop w/ better lay out.
