and man do I love it. It allows me to see what the kids are watching on the VES, fix any glitches in DVD playback and monitor the hitch on my trailer while towing (not that I really need to do this). But, best of all, it allows you to enter a destination into the Nav while driving.

I'm not advertising for them and have no connection to them whatsoever but it is a fantastic solution to a major design flaw in these systems.

Just an FYI for those looking.

Where did you get it and how much does it cost. The Nav limitations are MINDLESS!

I couldn't agree more! Just last night the kids were screaming that the dvd was acting up so I just hit "view video" and I could see what they were talking about. I think pulling over to enter an address is far more dangerous than doing it while driving. We just had two CHP officers killed on Sunday who were pulled over just sitting on the side of the road.

I ordered it from:

I paid $245 but they were having a 15% off sale. I think they regularly give 10% for joining another forum (PM me and I'll give you the details but it's not as good as this one). She was great to work with.

If you pull the trigger on this, PM me and I'll send you the config/install instructions info so you are good to go when it arrives.

It's a little pricey right now. But here is a link to it... .

MYGIG LOCKPICK

I think they are about equal with one major difference (unless something has changed). The LOCKPICK has switches you need to flip whereas the AllGIG is totally configured via USB.

Regardless, I don't think you can make a wrong decision here, they both take the radios to a whole new level. I LOVE the features it adds.

allgig - ipod video

does the allgig unit allow you to play music videos and movies from your factory ipod connection? would be nice to be able to access ipod video.

I don't think it allows you to do that from the plug on the front of the unit but it does provide RCA plug inputs. I'm not an ipod user so I don't know how they connect. But if you can watch your ipod on say a TV via RCA connection, then yes it will work.

I have an ipod connector I got with the truck so I will check it out when I get home.
