Well... your rear differential:

Here is the inside of a AAM 11. 5 rear differential:

Here is the outside with a new Mag-Hytec cover:

The clearance from the OEM spare:

This is on a 2006 4x2 mega. The clearance is just enough, however, if one was to get crazy and started trying to off-road this two-wheel drive it might rub. This one sees mostly pavement.

Sorry for the thread title... dirty bum lookers. :-laf;):D

Nice shots! The first time I changed the fluid in mine at about 15k, I could still see the set-up paint on the gears ~ I was glad to see it was a perfect pattern.

When I changed the oil in mine I was surprised to see it wasn't ant anti spin, just old style side gears and pinions. Shadrach

If you lower your spare tire a little and then push it rearward while taking it back up, you will gain more clearance to the pumpkin cover.

You took the words out of my mouth! I did the same thing... Lowered the spare, pulled it towards the rear bumper while my buddy cranked it back up. Now my spare will not act as a center mounted rear pneumatic bump-stop.
