my 08 was working fine then next min it Quit checked fuse and I am waiting for it to cool to see if compressor took a dump . Any other idea's or places to check .
Does the compressor come on? Do the lines under the hood get cold? Start by answer that to determine if problem is under the hood or under the dash. If the compressor is running and lines are cold, it may be a blend door problem.
Ok here is what I found checked everything out no power to compressor so I took it to my buddies house we found the main power for trailer power fuse blown come to find out the last trailer I towed was a friend's horse trailer well it blew my PICM at the cost of $2000. 00 But Thank Goodness it's covered under warr. for diesel powered truck's
so I get truck back tomorrow and will never pull anybody's trailer that I don't know unless they sign an agreement saying they will cover damage . ?Thank's dodge for making everything 1 system
You need to do what a few others have done and what I intend to do soon. You take all the trailer light plug wiring and make up a box that houses a relay for each trailer light circuit. The truck wiring for the trailer plug NOW just powers the relays and then you run a SEPARATE, fused power wire (+) back that doesn't go through the TIPM. It then is the 12V sourse for each light circuit.
Just a quick update PCM was replaced under Warr. and now PICM need's to be replaced at my cost of $500. 00 installed an programed RIGHT NOW I HATE DODGE
Well here is a good 1 for all of you Stupid Dealer Soutar's Dodge up in Barstow Ca. is a Crook stay away from them . Took the truck in they screwed Dodge for over 2 grand to replace PCM then hit me up for 500 after 6 day's I call and get told well Mr. Simon your air conditioner compressor is bad and that is going to cost 800. 00 I told them Bite me put my truck back together and I will be picking it up that afternoon . So I pick it up bring it home and sat down and Called Dodge All I can say is I am Very Pleased when I got past all the flunky's I got 1 of the higher up's and he is not only refunding what I spent at the dealer he is also refunding what it cost me for a new compressor so it pay's to be stuborn and stand your ground . I ordered my compressor after market and everything is working great . So anyone else having A/c troubles fight it don't let Dodge screw you over
