i am about to be buying the second turbo for my set of twin turbos. i was wondering what things do i need to be looking for that will make my life easy? Are oil changes hard with the twins since the oil filter is blocked a littl more? i have heard all the great things about twins i want to hear some of the tough situations they can put me in also. that way i can start preping to correct them now and make life easy down the road.

edit: i am getting the BD Tow twins. i was looking at pictures, and to me it looks like they tried to keep it where you can still service the truck...

thanks

The BD Towing twins are exactly what I installed 2 yrs ago. I thoroughly love them!!! Cannot say enough good about them.

How is it changing the oil? Did you need a remote oil filter kit?

Changing the oil is not a big deal. You CAN get to it without removing anything but I prefer to take the extra time to remove the airbox and intake tube just to make the job easier. Adda maybe 15min. tops to the job rather than wrestle around and getting frustrated trying to work around it.

The way they perform is second to none as far as I'm concerned. I have yet to exceed 1100* even lugging my Cummins in too high of a gear going up steep grades pulling my 5th wheel. I have the Mach 4's and Smarty also.

I have a set of twins, but decided to go with the remote oil filter mount for easy oil changes. I am kind of glad I did, because they are now a breeze compared to what it was with just a single.
