I have an 06 Mega cab 2wd. I'd like to level the front end. Im looking at two different kits and would like to get some ideas on each. I love my mega cab but I really like the look of the 4wd, but dont need the 4wd. If anyone has any experience or thoughts on these please feel free to chime in.

Thanks

Its a full spindle kit. Its 1150 bucks. It also includes a 1" rear lift to even things out. Biggest drawback is the cost.

Simple polyeurethane spacers. Very cost effective. Have seen a couple of these on other websites and the results look pretty good.

I did the spacer deal on mine we will call this the fireman special always looking at cost and not end result . As I tell my overpaid Ca. firemen just work another O. T. you can buy it working 1 shift. I know you guys aren't overpaid back there but the CST is the best way to go and you don't lose upper control arm travel. just watch your backset on your wheels . I will be doing this as soon as the economy picks back up.

Im opposite...

I guess Im the opposite... I would rather spend the money now and have good results, than to spend a little now and have to re-do it later and have the chance for it to cost me money later down the road. What exactly does the spacer do that is "bad"??

Thanks

Craig

It over spring the front end and you loose the travel . so when you jack up the truck the upper control arm bottoms out on the hump in the shock tower.

I did the spacer thing on an 02 2500 gasser. It really stiffens the ride. Its not to bad on smooth roads but get a couple of bumps or pot holes and you just became your dentist's #1 customer

I can't confirm, but I did spacers on my 2wd, and I'm ready for ball joints/control arms again at 130k. That was my only change to my front end, but needed the spacers for my H2's and 285's. Two sets of control arms/ball joints would have paid for the complete rework/lifted control arm setup. I'd definitely spend it now versus later if I had to do it over.

I used suspension maxx, they advertise in the tdr mag... . I have a 06 mega 4wd and used a 2" spacer in the front... I installed myself, not as easy as they say, but can be done... then took to an alignment shop... ..... great service, and good customer service... . look into them:-laf
