Oo. Oo. Oo.

FYI, this will replace my 2005 3500 Dually Laramie 4*4 Quad Cab. Been a great truck but looking forward to more gears, more power, and a bigger back seat for the kids.

No, Longhorn Edition for me. I'm in Oregon:)

To me the LongHorn edition is nice but a little over the top for my tastes.

I dont care for the laser engraving in the seats or some of the other detail added, but I do like the King Ranch by Ford, so thats where my interest comes from; I love the saddle leather inside.

Just an update for those who care. The order has been 'accepted' and I recieved the serial number today:) Ordered on November 26th (Friday after Thanksgiving). The thinking now is it will be here around February 1st:)

When I ordered mine it only took about 3 weeks after I got serial number. I think it was about 28 days from order till delivery.

Well the fleet manager warned me not to plan to much. It might go real quickly then sit in Portland, OR for 2 weeks waiting for enough vehicles for a full trailer.

3 weeks would make a very nice Christmas Present!

I didn't have to wait for a trailer load, mine went straight from the railcar to the upfitter, just a few miles away from the rail yard, to have the bed put on.

E-mail update from the Fleet Manager at my dealer this morning;

''The truck has been built. It is being inspection, quality control, audited, etc and then will begin the shipping process. I'll see you in January. ''

:))))))

Man that Longhorn is nice! Looks like about 15 hides went inside that thing, and real wood, no plastic!! Should be a beaut.

It came in today:)

Only done about 50 miles but am very impressived with it. Love the power and transmission. Love the lights and fog lights, BIG improvement. Going to have to watch the DVD and read the paperwork to learn everything but cann't wait to pull the trailer this weekend after I do another 450 miles in the next couple of days.

I went through the same emotions when I took delivery of my 07 C&C, but had to go through it all over again to get the B&W Elite series bed installed that was a couple of weeks later. Congratulations on your new truck, it is a good looking truck.

FWIW, I just went through that with my 2011 FLHTK Ultra Limited Harley Davidson, but it wasn't ordered, it just rained for a week after taking delivery.

Alright report time. I am up to a whopping 95 miles and here are a couple of thoughts compared to my 2005 3500 Dually Laramie.

1. Love the headlights and fog lights, so much better then my 2005 with PIAA Bulbs

2. Hate the key fob thinging, its too big plus you still have to use it like a key and then they give you a key anyways for the tailgate lock, I would prefer just one key with small remote for doors/alarm/remote start or a real fab you keep in your pocket like on our Toyota.

3. So much quiter and smoother then my 2005, looked down and I was 20mph over, whoops:)

4. Love the center consol, dual gloveboxes and rear floor bins, bummed the Subwoofer takes up the big under rear seat bin. But I'll survive.

5. Free Sat Radio for a year, lots of channels of stuff I would never listen to, likely stick to FM unless traveling out of the area. Likely will NOT pay after its done.

6. Love these folding mirrors, I put them upright and will leave them that way like I did with the 2005.

7. Cann't believe they are still using the same wheel covers as 2005 and for the top of the line model.

8. I like the winter floor mats, covers even the rear center hump. Not bad for $80.

9. Call me wimp but I like the heated steering wheel.

10. I like the rear camera, should make trailer hookups easy.

11. Also don't like that they don't tell you the breakin proceedures in the paper manual info. Assuming its on the DVD which I'll get to later.

I will report on towing over the weekend, need to do another 400 miles first.

Congrads man, that is a beautiful ride! I also heard from a buddy of mine that those floor mats are the deal of the century!

Stay Safe!
